I’ve written a number of articles that are on the net and decided to put some on my website, this one deals with relationship break up.

*** I’ve also been reading an excellent book, The Magic of Making Up, that could really help you in dealing with a relationship breakup. ***

It might be hard to believe but taking your time is probably the best way for dealing with a relationship breakup. There are other things that you can do, but the old saying - time heals all wounds - is true. Unfortunately, if you’ve been together for many years it can take even more than a year to get over the break up. But like I said, there are steps you can take to mitigate the pain and take your focus away from it.

Do new things that interest you and that you and your ex didn’t do. Doing something creative or spiritual can give balance to your life. When holidays and birthdays come around, create new traditions to replace the old ones you may have had with your ex.

Make a schedule for your days. Give yourself things to accomplish. After a break up it’s easy to develop a feeling of low self-worth. By getting things done, you can work at building your self-worth. Also, this takes the focus off your relationship.

You need closure. Box up reminders of your relationship and put them away. Stop having contact with your ex–ongoing contact can derail any of the progress you’ve made at closure. Also, meeting with your ex can deflate your self-esteem. This can get you frustrated because you’ll feel like you can’t move on by continuing to seem them.

Seek out supportive friends and family, you need to know that you are loved and that people care about you. It might be difficult to get together with others and discuss your feelings, but it will help to be around people who do care about you.

I hope this was a useful article. Just wanted to remind you about the book, The Magic of Making Up, that could help you in dealing with a relationship breakup.

Hello, very pleasant and explanatory article. I’ll append a few remarks although. The tough part of the tale is that while most girls take the path of allowing their spirit and emotions run them, which takes it much worse to have your young man back if you get him back at all, kind of than using some sound and proven relationship advice that makes it so much easier. Kick In your collaborator a couple of weeks without irritating to get hold of him in some manner. He will start to wonder what happened to you. Next you mail him a text or electronic mail.. Troubles are rarely all one person’s mistake, it is required for you to accept your part in matters. Take a spirit on what you may be contributing to the escalation of any given trouble. Part of toleration might mean that much of your doings and mental attitudes will have to modify to meet your collaborator halfway. I’d advise talking over this subject further at dating and relationships forum … It is critical here to think face-to-face limits while you are working toward result.
